Rainy Day Essentials

Admit it…you hate the rain. I do too…especially when it’s a day that you’ve just washed and blow dried your hair. It gets frizzy and just looses its volume. With Irene having just passed through my hometown, I was inspired to write a “rainy day” article! So here are my picks for what every gal should have in her closest because when it rains…it pours!

My first pick are an awesome pair boots. For women, I love the Sperry Top-Sider Pelican Tall Rain Boots. You can find these boots at Macy’s and they retail for $70. They are made from waterproof rubber, have a gore insert and a really comfy fleece lining.

Next on my list is the Kenneth Cole Reaction Coat, Long Sleeve Zipper Detail Asymmetrical Wool Trench. This coat is great! It looks good and keeps you dry!¬†Kenneth Cole Reaction took the look of a classic trench, added a slim silhouette and an asymmetrical neckline. Right now on Macy’s, the coat retails for $300.

Finally I’ve picked the Totes Bubble Umbrella. First it comes in a bunch of nice colors and secondly, it can be found at Target for only $17! If you need an umbrella, this is the ULTIMATE umbrella. It covers you completely until your shoulders with its bubble protection! It’s made of plastic and polyester and it’s easy to clean as well!

So there you have it! Next time Irene’s cousin wants to crash your weekend plans, you can still continue and look good while doing it too!
